An Ode to Eating: Menus and Gathering in Rogers Park.

The display centers menus from local restaurants collected by the Rogers Park/West Ridge Historical Society. Honoring menus as artifacts highlights their capacity to host rich cultural significance within their design. Rogers Park’s uniquely diverse community has gathered around menus in the neighborhood’s lively small businesses for generations, fostering love over profit. The display begins an exploration into menus as an ode to community-based remembering, gathering, and eating, which you are invited to join.
