Mama's Army
Mama’s Army, a new body of work by Laura Botham, curated by Vasia Rigou, transports you into a whimsical world where humor, playfulness, and curiosity take center stage. Celebrating seafood and oceanic life, Botham’s unexpected sculptures reveal beauty in the mundane and often overlooked. Anchored by the artist’s fascination with shrimp—a seafood both approachable and surprisingly "fancy"—the exhibition explores interspecies dynamics and quirky marine behaviors, inviting viewers to find joy in the humorous moments around us—from imagined sea creature politics to the absurdity of a seafood tower come alive.
