This isn’t an easy time for anyone. We’re all doing our best and we think that should be celebrated. That’s why we’re hosting Re:treat, our first-ever virtual self care conference!
The free event takes place over two days and will feature videos from some of your favorite artists, designers, thinkers, and just all-around awesome people. Because none of us have anywhere to be anyway, we kept only the best parts about conferences (learning and having fun) while leaving out the worst (strict schedules, ugly lanyards, and uncomfortable seating).
Beginning Saturday, May 16 at 9am, experience all Re:treat has to offer at your leisure and on your own schedule until it goes offline on Sunday, May 17 at midnight. Create crayon art with the Chicago Children’s Museum, find connection in drawing with Kawandeep Virdee, and even follow a Bernese mountain dog named Chunk around as he takes his daily walk. We’ve packed both days full of exciting and engaging content as a way for you to thank yourself for hanging in there. You’re doing great.

The museum is closed until June 30th, 2020.
While distancing we are planning virtual events, moving our exhibitions online, and publishing student design projects. Take care of yourself!
