Design in Theatre: From Idea to Ideal
Thursday October 17th 2019, 5:30 pm–7:00 pm
Join us on October 17 to hear Mark Larson, author of Ensemble: An Oral History of Chicago Theater explore stage setting, lighting and sound design with four prominent Chicago designers: Jared Gooding, Rob Milburn, Linda Buchanan, and Regina Garcia. Where does the starting point for a design begin? What is a designer’s role in rehearsal? How do these elements work together? How do designers know when they’ve got it right?
Meet the author from 5:30–6pm, followed by a panel discussion from 6–7pm. Event will take place at 72 E. Randolph St. Design Museum Presents lectures are free and open to the public.
