Through free, short-term exhibitions, engaging public programming, and robust partnerships, the Design Museum of Chicago contextualizes and humanizes design's influence in everyday life. $24 — Make Design Accessible

Your generosity allows the Design Museum to be free and open to the public year round. An average donation from our magnanimous visitors is still $6. Cover the donation for four people from all walks of life in our gallery, and make design accessible to all.

$517 — Foster Innovation

Workshops led by the the Design Museum teach students foundational skills and design thinking. Support at this level fosters innovation by providing supplies like x-actos, pens and notebooks for 30 students in a Chicago Public Schools classroom with a stipend for an expert facilitator.

$2,438 — Ignite Imaginations

The Design Museum offers hundreds of hours of free programming, covering a wide range of topics. Programs like Raising Products, a virtual series on art, design, and communities of color, leave a huge impression. Funding at this level supports speaker stipends, event marketing, and post-event outreach.

Design is more than a powerful source of inspiration. It is an integral tool that connects communities and creates equity, which is why we think it’s so important to provide Chicago’s residents and visitors with a free and accessible museum focused on design. Since 2012, more than 200,000 people have participated in over 200 programs, and visited 19 Design Museum exhibitions. We are building on this strong foundation. With your support, we are poised for the future, planning more exhibitions and events, making opportunities through our robust internship program, and making design accessible to all.
