Virtual Cooking Demo with The Chopping Block

Black rectangle with “The Chopping Block” logo in white letters.

The Design Museum is partnering with The Chopping Block to offer a virtual cooking demonstration class via Zoom on Thursday, November 12th at 6pm CST!

A Chopping Block chef will teach us how to prepare a Braised Osso Buco with Toasted Pine Nut Gremolata and Polenta. Skills covered in class will include searing and braising, selecting meat, determining meat doneness, balancing flavors, working with cornmeal, and preparing polenta. Plus, all donations raised during the event directly support future Design Museum programming!

Chopping Block Virtual Cooking Demonstrations are a fun opportunity to watch a chef in action. During class, your chef will teach you how to prepare the dishes while you observe and take notes, and you can ask questions as well! The recipe packet will be provided upon registration. We hope you will join us!

The Design Museum of Chicago is partially supported by grants from the Illinois Arts Council Agency; City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events; Truettner Foundation; Terra Foundation for American Art; MacArthur Funds for Culture, Equity, and the Arts at the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation and Illinois Humanities.
