Workshop: Urban Agriculture with City Farm Chicago

  • City Farm 550 West Division Street Chicago, IL, 60610 United States (map)

Urban agriculture is a theme viewed through the lens of design thinking in our current exhibition, The State of Detroit.

Join us at City Farm to learn about the history of agricultural management within a city, its impact on how food production is understood, and what really goes into making a garden grow.

Following a presentation by museum volunteers and City Farm staff, we’ll get to work. Come prepared to get dirty and sweaty. We’ll be weeding, tilling soil, spreading compost, mulch and straw, and helping out with anything else that keeps the farm running.

City Farm is an environmental education not-for-profit and partner organization dedicated to building community in Chicago.
