Designer and author Kelcey Gray has been experimenting with and cataloging various ways of making letters with a spirit of curiosity and invention. In this workshop, participants will use familiar and unfamiliar tools to create letterforms, draw with constraints, explore collaborative ways of making letterforms, and use paper as a metaphor for variable type.
Participants will perform some lettering warm-up exercises, explore ways of manipulating and distorting letters, and build folded paper structures that transform the alphabet!
