For the 10th Anniversary of the Design Museum of Chicago, we are reflecting on where design has been and where it can go in the future. The museum is hosting a series exploring ten areas where design has the potential or the responsibility to make a future impact.
We are pleased to announce that for the eight edition of the Chicago Architectural Club’s Emerging Visions Competition, the 2023 selected winner is Abigail Chang.
The jury composed of Sarah Dunn, Bob Faust, Reed Kroloff, and Andrew Schachman reviewed anonymous portfolio submissions and selected Abigail Chang’s as representative of the Chicago architecture community’s most promising emerging talent.
Abigail Chang is a designer and educator from Los Angeles and a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Architecture. Her practice is interested in subtle encounters driven by material qualities and details and responds to currents in contemporary culture.
