The Intersection of Intellectual Property and Design

  • Nordic House 400 North Michigan Avenue Chicago, IL, 60611 United States (map)

Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale, P.C. and the Design Museum of Chicago are pleased to invite you to join us on April 25 from 5 - 7 p.m. for an evening of conversation, culture, and canapés!

Many thanks to the Nordic House for allowing us to hold this event in their Michigan Avenue space, and to World Business Chicago for generously supporting this event by covering the catering costs.

  • From 5 - 6 p.m., guests will get a chance to network over drinks and hors d’oeuvres while exploring the beautiful venue.

  • At 6 p.m., Susan Meyer, Norway's Honorary Consul for Illinois and Greensfelder attorney, will welcome our programme’s two dynamic speakers who will be sharing their insights.

  • Shortly after 6 p.m., Angela Kalsi, Intellectual Property attorney at Greensfelder, will share what makes a great brand from a legal perspective in a conversation with Tanner Woodford, Founder & Director of Design Museum of Chicago. Angela and Tanner plan to discuss how the disciplines of IP law and design intersect, while featuring stories of famous Nordic brands through the lens of design and trademark challenges and triumphs.

We offer this event as a prelude to World IP Day (April 26) and World Design Day (April 27), and to celebrate the beautiful Nordic House which will be closing at the end of April.

We hope you will join us!
